It was entirely due to incompetence and ignoring basic safety concerns. And then they kept making more because no one was punished. See more Nadja K 06/24/2023 This was one of my favorite movies as a child. Yes, the animations are terrible, the story doesn't make any sense and its a bit dorky. However, there's a lot of heart and love in this work, it works beautifully for children and I can't with good conscience call this a bad movie. It's a sweet, heart-warming children's movie, not an award-winning masterpiece. I think that's valid. See more Chris M 02/13/2023 Some critics say it's a "Paint by numbers" story and that's why it's bad. As I always said, a movie doesn't need to have twists to be outside the box to be good. Yes, it's paint by numbers. It's a kid's movie, if you expect a Shyamalan twist in a movie called "Snow Buddies" than you shouldn't be reviewing direct to video kid's movies. I found it very enjoyable with only some mild annoying characters issue. The Alaskan Kid's dad for one. I understand he's only trying to protect him but he does it the wrong way. Also wondering what the prize money is for the race? I'm guessing a lot since the villain is willing to practically kill to get it, as he leaves several people to die with his cheating.
