Blue-collar Midwesterner Mike Alvarado attempts to save his family from the throes of poverty by investing their savings into speculative cryptocurrencies. However, as his investment strategy decays into a full-blown gambling addiction, he sends his life into a nightmarish anxiety-inducing downward spiral, compromising his relationships with his girlfriend, his developmentally disabled brother, and his recovering addict cousin. A twitchy, hyper-contemporary comedy with equal doses of laughs and panic attacks.

$POSITIONS — For a low-budget film, I honestly thought the production quality and acting were really quite good. It had that raw Quentin Tarantino-type feel — not because it jumps timelines, but because of the chaotic energy, bizarre scenes, intense emotions, and unpredictability throughout. The movie also had some great comedy mixed in at the right times, which balanced out the intensity really well and made the characters feel more natural. $POSITIONS was thrilling, high-intensity, emotional at times, and mixed in moments of sadness and humility really well. It keeps you engaged throughout. Definitely worth checking out. I genuinely think this film has the potential to grow into a cult-style movie over time.

Great movie! Kept me on the edge of my seat! Some parts caught me off guard (you’ll know which ones after you see it) but overall get me entertained.! I was told there is an Easter egger related to the clothing.. I didn’t catch it so now I’m going to have to go back and watch it again to see if I can figure it out 💜

Best indie film I've seen in a long while. Funny, tense, plenty of heart. I'm assuming the only neg reviews on here are from people who couldn't get past an early beer bong scene and I will admit it was a tad hard to watch, but it fit the highly stylized and original vibe of the piece, and helped set up the total dumbfukery nature of the lead character. Looking forward to what first time director Daley comes up with next, and the same goes for stellar actor: Michael Kunicki.
