José (Camilo Delgado) is a Puerto Rican immigrant struggling to support a family in Manhattan. As a professional guitarist, José finds work hard to come by, but he's too proud to let his wife, Antonia (Rosita De Triano), enter the workplace. Meanwhile, his son, Felipe (Robert Gentile), gets mixed up in street violence, and his daughter is roped into prostitution. As her family spirals toward destruction, Antonia attempts to rectify their problems before it's too late.
