12/25/2013 Southern Comfort And Prune Juice--An illustrious beginning to Corman's career!! See more 11/24/2013 Swamp Women (AKA Cruel Swamp, AKA Swamp Diamonds) is an exploitation movie in the long line of exploitation movies aimed at only one thing: sensationalizing women for male audiences. The problem though is that in that context, the movie pretty much fails. All of these women are unattractive, which may just stem from my own personal taste, but they also don't do much that would titillate a male watching them. They take men hostage, cut their shorts even shorter and wrestle around in water, which doesn't do anything for me personally. On top of all of that, it's just not a very good movie. Like all of Roger Corman's movies (this one he directed, as well), it was shot quickly with very little money on location, and it shows. The plot and the characters are dull and the exploitation side of things is poor. It was featured on an episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000, which is all that it's remembered for nowadays, but if you're a Roger Corman fan, I guess it couldn't hurt to check it out. But don't expect quality in any capacity. See more 10/13/2013 A typical Corman exploitation film (his 2nd film, in fact). Lots of legs, but terrible dialog. See more 12/31/2011 Swamp Women is a meh thanks to the low quality of the film. Story is somewhat interesting as four women escape from prison and kidnap a hunky man and his girlfriend. The go off to find some diamonds, but learn they will have to deal with each other. Will they find some diamonds or end up killing each other. I love Roger Corman's direction of the film, but the low quality destroys it. Still, I give the film some credit for its ordeal. See more Read all reviews
