There's only so much even Hamilton and Davis can do with such one-note characters (though Hamilton, at least, seems like she's having a ton of fun), and Dark Fate doesn't seem especially interested in seeing them as anything more.

It's a shame, really, that Dark Fate seems destined to be the end for the franchise as it has far more quality than any of its post-T2 predecessors.

Dark Fate fell short of expectations. It made bold decisions, but executed poorly and it follows many of the same storylines as the first one which seems silly for it to be considered a continuation.

The only positive of this film is it confirmed for me that I don't think there will ever be a good Terminator film after 1991. A complete miss.

Terminator: Dark Fate features such strong female characters. Seriously, Schwarzenegger does make an appearance and while he's incredibly funny, he's not the hero of this film.

The premise is simple enough, but it cannot effectively communicate what it means to see the Terminator film series own up to its true power and amplify it tenfold.

'Terminator' stays entertaining - now and in the future.

"Terminator: Dark Fate" is full of the action we crave but the reboot leaves us fans in a bitter place.

It's hard to put one faith's in yet another Terminator movie, but this one really does make up for the years of disappointment.

The movie's downward trajectory, then, is triggered by a midsection focused around two often astonishingly underwhelming heroes...

This is Linda Hamilton's show - the film is at its best when she's on-screen, as she manages to make the movements from action to tragedy to off-kilter work.

I was alternately interested and bored by the repetition... Can you tell that I am not the demographic for this film? But at least it was good to see the talented and gorgeous Mackenzie Davis.

If you're able to accept the bold choices the movie is built around, this is a welcome follow up to Terminator 2.

Part sequel, part reboot, it's a lot of what we've seen before with just enough personality and solid action.
November 12, 2019
[The Terminator franchise] keeps doing this over and over again, and I'm tired of it.
November 11, 2019
"Terminator: Dark Fate" has its problems, but for fans of the franchise who like their action relentless and forceful, it more than holds its own.
November 11, 2019
This should end the whole Terminator thing, right?
November 11, 2019
This latest terminator that can be machine-gunned into different puddles of black goo, which can locate its other black goo puddles and then morph back into a carbonite skeleton? Like Scarlett Johansson in "Lucy," and Tom Hardy in "Spawn"? Yawn.
November 10, 2019
It's a pile of sizzling schmaltz by the final frames, but how better to defeat a black blob of evil? Dark Fate doesn't reinvent the war, but by inflecting the film with a feminine world view, it exploits a new power surge coursing through the body politic
November 10, 2019
As sequels go, Dark Fate is pretty good, a perfectly fun time at the movies.
