Sadly, it ultimately builds to a would-be shocking twist that is not nearly the game-changer it claims to be, leaving viewers with more questions than answers. Go to Full Review

The Astronaut has a lot going for it, but, like the lead character in the opening scenes, it doesn’t quite stick the landing. Go to Full Review

Varley’s grip, her taut observation of nerve-wracking isolation, loosens and the film devolves into a blunt and clichéd consideration of family. The transition is awkward, and more cartoonish than moving, as the performers try to regain their footing. Go to Full Review

Architecture fans will surely enjoy the gorgeous glass-walled house with its stunning green views; the film's finale is effective, too. But there's a chance you'll have aborted this mission long before that arrives. Go to Full Review

Writer-director Jess Varley delivers an engrossing, intriguing "after space" story that's only really weighed down by some low-orbit visual effects. Go to Full Review

Benjamin G @BxDxGx 5d I enjoyed it. It’s one of those films where it’s very formulaic but sometimes I like that type of thing, in this case I enjoyed the plot, score, cinematography, casting, delivery. I knew a twist was coming but couldn’t quite guess it. It felt rushed in the end (probably to meet the 1:30 mark) and there were a couple of moments where you’re not 100% impressed with the leads decision-making skills but I still enjoyed it. I can see why it got a lower RT score since they could’ve embellished better on key aspects but still it was pretty good for what it is, at least a 60% RT score in my book. Especially the ending. :) <3 See more Chris H @BeardedRonin May 14 The lack of common sense the main character has is comical...This movie is Butt. See more Daniel G @DanielGodoy May 10 Really nice twist at the end that explains very clearly why the astronaut was left alone in this huge house after returning to Earth. The acting is very basic, but it's an action/suspense movie, with a few moments of those "horror" chills. See more Frederico Teixeira G @RT31881376 May 9 Worst and most ridiculous plot twist I’ve ever seen. Not that the movie had been so far brilliant but the finale turns out to ruin something that was now or less mediocre. See more K. H @RT41423953 May 5 WTF ???
