Varley’s grip, her taut observation of nerve-wracking isolation, loosens and the film devolves into a blunt and clichéd consideration of family. The transition is awkward, and more cartoonish than moving, as the performers try to regain their footing.

It's not a bad movie, but it was pretty boring for the most part. There was too much buildup between everything important, and the jump scares felt very forced. Despite its shortcomings, the movie had a pretty intriguing concept, and there were a lot of intense and scary moments to leave you hooked. I could see sci-fi, thriller, and horror fans getting a kick out of it, but there are definitely better alien movies out there.

The beginning seemed promising, the development was better in regards to the level of suspense, however, the ending seemed like a Disney princess movie and was very cliche and rushed... I'd recommend it as a family movie but not the space sci Fi horror movie they were trying to make...

Nice try at suspense, but I can't recommend this because it is really a fantastical narrative that in the end seems absurd. Too many easy-outs like she wakes up in bed, or somewhere else after a traumatic event in the woods - and this happens throughout the movie. No explanation, well, until the end, but again, it's pretty absurd. Too much fantasy with a disguise of suspense / horror framing, but most definitely skippable.
