Arlen is abandoned in a Texas wasteland that is fenced off from civilization. While trying to navigate the unforgiving landscape, Arlen is captured by a savage band of cannibals led by the mysterious Miami Man. With her life on the line, she makes her way to The Dream. As she adjusts to life in the bad batch, Arlen discovers that being good or bad mostly depends on who's standing next to you.

Starts strong with startling images but every time it works up a head of steam it veers off track. Its languid pace and stretched-out story makes the two-hour running time feel much longer.

The only people who think this movie is pointless and never organizes into anything of meaning have low low low IQs and are incapable of deep thought. Only the shallow minded would think this movie is pointless and disorganized and meaningless. Which would include the vast majority of the earth population. This movie is fantastic and has deeper meaning to it than the majority shallow thinkers could ever appreciate. Sorry but you're dumb as hell and only capable of of very shallow empty thought if you don't see any meaning in this movie.

One of my favorite films of all time. It’s a must-watch for former desert ravers, wanderers, or anyone drawn to the Slab City/derelict-lifestyle aesthetic. Suki Waterhouse CRUSHED this role, and the supporting cast says everything about the film’s unique tone: Jim Carrey appears in one of the most unusual roles of his career, Keanu Reeves leans into a rare villain type character, and Giovanni Ribisi jumps in as a twitchy, desert-worn, lost soul type with a possible schizophrenic edge. The setting is just as epic. "Comfort," filmed near Slab City in Niland, California, with the beauty of the real desert. If you love atmospheric, slow-burn tension mixed with surreal, artistic visuals—similar to the eerie Steve Buscemi scene in Con Air with the abandoned desert house—this film hits that sweet spot. Add in its some cannibalism, some chaos, rave-culture drug undertones, and Jason Momoa with his pure, unapologetic badassery. This movie is genuinely one-of-a-kind.

It’s a pointless movie. It starts off quite exciting and you think you’re in for a good one…but NO. There isn’t a storyline, it’s boring and just seems totally pointless with a very cringy ‘happy family’ ending.
