The Bride! is baggy, baffling, and erratically conceived, yet even as I bemoaned its inadequacies, I was also fascinated by them and by Gyllenhaal’s steadfast commitment to the concept, her choices clearly born of the desire to experiment.

If it didn't have Christian Bale in it I would have given it zero stars. Absolutely terrible film. Love Christian Bale but not even he could save this slop. Maggie Gyllenhaal needs to stay out of filmmaking.
