victor o @RT45890256 09/11/2022 I saw this for AnnaSophia Robb and with a story billed with an impressive cast I was expecting a good film. I was wrong. Released in a way that is supposed to draw upon the real-life economic disasters from the Great Depression of the 1930s to the Great Recession of the 2000s. A corporate consultant is called up with intelligence that a possible attempt against the US and eventually the world's economy would collapse. But the consultant gets wary of the significance of this, particularly with his troubles with the government. Along with personal problems in his life he does what he can as he ends up discovering something far worse than anything else he could have imagined. I expected better with a great cast, but this movie was all hat and no cattle, basically a hate letter to corporations for seeking profit. Blaming them for past mistakes isn't bad enough that they got to make them culpable in a crime that hasn't happened. I even found it stupid that they depicted a certain individual to become President of the United States, which thankfully never happened. Yes, I voted for the other one, the one who won. A nauseating story that tries to pass itself like it was the Bourne Identity of economic terrorism. Dumb basically. Computer hacking and wall street trading - two things I know little about. It does, however, present a very real alternative problem as a reason for things going wrong, like conspiracy theorists have been saying all along. See more 03/02/2021 I was hoping the crash should be in the vein of something like margin call but it’s not even close. The film does have a rather intriguing cast and story but the movie is poorly made. The script is an absolute mess as is the pacing and dialogue. The camera work is nauseating constantly zooming in and out trying to be like a Bourne identity movie. On top of that it’s a pretty boring film very little to compel the viewers interest. Decent plot idea poorly executed. So pathetic I recommend seeing it so you'll be able to say you saw the worst movie of the century. See more 03/09/2018 Gotta assume that it's director Aram Rappaport who is the real hacker, he breached the security of all these actors, and used the personal information that he found in order to blackmail them into being in this garbage, because I cannot see any other possible explanation for how this happened.
