For those unfamiliar, "Found Footage" films are as the name implies: films put together on the basis that their fictional characters find or are in the process of using a camera through which the resulting footage drives the storytelling. With The Final Project, Taylor Ri'chard evokes the glory days of this genre made mainstream following the turn of the millennium (see: The Blair Witch Project). Ri'chard cleverly manipulates the format with point-and-shoot-style camera play as we observe a collection of collegians exploring a haunted house. The Final Project melds evocations of the supernatural with time-tested horror elements and voyeuristic camera work. The chemistry realized by its characters is also present and accounted for in this indie, which ultimately succeeds at building and holding its push-and-pull tension as it winds us toward its surprising ending.

Great horror flick! Started out slow, but builds strong towards the climax of the film. It is terrifying and the twist is great! It's worth a watch for sure!

Even weed couldn't make this movie bearable. I read the reviews and they seemed pretty decent so I gave it a chance. I wish I owned a time machine so I could go back and stop this catastrophe from ever happening. The reviews are obviously written by the film creators family members. Not only did this movie rob me of 1hr of my Saturday night but my wife just divorced me because of it. thanks for ruining my life with your shitty movie.
