The Furies makes up for its lack of originality with girl-power gore wielded by a ferocious Airlie Dodds.

The effort to combine sermonising and sadism at worst feels hypocritical, and even at best has a vaguely self-congratulatory air. After all, many earlier horror films have addressed similar themes without being so heavy-handed about it. Go to Full Review

The tech aspect doesn't bear too much in depth scrutiny, but there's no denying the grisly appeal of this briskly paced carve 'em up. Go to Full Review

If the ending doesn't land...The Furies still succeeds in delivering an intense and captivating experience. Go to Full Review

John M @RT95094306 13h I enjoyed it... was a good watch... I felt it was very entertaining... See more Jordan P @Jordanflickmaster 5d Some cool masked killers and gory kills. It lost me when they started showing implants in the victims. There's way too much involvement to just make a game about killing women. It's goofy and far-fetched. There needs to be more grounded ideas. Its just okay. There's no iconic spark to it. It's just soul and nonsensical. 2 and a half stars is me being generous. See more Rich C. @Cordu0702 Apr 4 Loved this film. Whole cast were fantastic! See more A S @Ahs81720 Jan 21 Not the worst but not great. When you have an upper 20s person playing what I think is supposed to be a child it's impossible to take it serious. Just a very meh movie with a neat concept. See more C. Michael M @RT82354302 Jun 11 Finally saw this movie. The story itself seemed to make no sense. It tried to draw you in with layering themes of friendship and feminism power but none of the characters were developed enough to be relatable or even particularly likeable. The ending (no spoilers) was extremely sloppy. Like it made no sense and didn't have any continuity with the rest of the film. The special effects and deaths could have been elaborated more since it was really the only redeeming trait in this movie but still very good on a couple of the deaths. Particularly someone losing a certain cranial appendage. See more Chris P @cparm54 12/22/2024 Unfortunately, for me, the anticipation of the film outweighed the actual finished product.
