A nightmarish evening unfolds for neighbors David (Luke Kleintank) and Robert (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) when they accidentally hit a woman on her bike and flee the scene. While David is increasingly plagued by feelings of guilt, Robert shows no remorse and becomes overbearing and possessive. When David meets Vanessa (Eloise Smyth), the victim's sister, he submits to a reckless passion and underlying sense of redemption before realizing Robert will do unspeakable things to protect their secret.

The Good Neighbor does seem to have a few issues in the details of the narratives, especially regarding the big twists and moments which sometimes don’t make a lot of sense.

The Good Neighbor should really be titled The Evil Neighbor Who Manipulates a Lousy Journalist to Make Stupid Decisions in Covering Up a Horrible Crime. That's the movie's entire plot, in case people don't want to waste time watching this junk.

This movie could have been great but it almost put me to sleep instead. It’s weird that David doesn’t catch on to Robert’s, anything but subtle, crush on him, and just keeps going with it… like Robert sucked on David’s thumb “to get the infection out” and then David buys him a grill to apologize for getting mad. It’s almost like he is leading him on lol. I mean he couldn’t tell that he was jealous of Janine and then Venessa?! It’s a weird movie all in all and very boring and it’s very awkward, dull, and downright dumb! It had its moments of oh it might be getting good, and then it just lets you down. It’s very long and drawn out. After the first 30 minutes, I was wishing for it all to be over soon. It had really great potential but they failed to deliver.
