Critics Consensus

Chris Pratt ably anchors this sci-fi adventure, even if The Tomorrow War may not linger in the memory much longer than today.

Audience Says

It isn't the most surprising time-travel movie, but a satisfying story and plenty of entertaining action make The Tomorrow War well worth a watch.

Narratively padded and visually overstuffed with CGI, The Tomorrow War plays out like Starship Troopers drained of Paul Verhoeven's subversive satire. Go to Full Review

A pretty average action film that’s buoyed by solid directing, an incredibly game cast, some cool sci-fi concepts, and a lot of excellent and well-paced action sequences. Go to Full Review

Its like jet ski fun for a short time then time to get off and socialize! See more Bruce M @BruceMc Jun 3 Awfully boring and boringly awful. Time travel movies are inherently stupid, but "The Tomorrow War" isn't just stupid, it's bad, with a very weak script, poor direction and lousy performances from it's leads. This cost $200M? See more Claudio C @Claudio666 May 31 The Tomorrow War (2021) Highly Indicated for Fans of Sci-Fi and Action Movies (12,478 – 26 Oct 2024 / 30 May 2026) "The Tomorrow War" (2021) is an enjoyable film highly indicated for fans of sci-fi and action movies. Like many others time travel movies, the plot has flaws and paradoxes, but if the viewer turns off his brain, he will see an entertaining film. The fight with ineffective weapons shows the end of the human race, but interfering in the past to produce powerful weapons would lead mankind to a different resistance fate. But sending people to the future to die does not make any sense. The butterfly effect is not considered in this film, but there will be no alien invasion; therefore, no casualty in the future. And those who died in the past? But anyway, the film is not made to think, but to entertain and in this regard, it is very satisfactory with many action scenes and top-notch CGI. My vote is eight.
