'The Uprising' is such a tragic rug pull, sullying its hard-earned good will at the last possible minute, that it’s hard to appreciate anything that happened before the disappointment sank in. Go to Full Review

The Uprising tells a familiar historical tale with blunt-force delivery and little nuance in a muddled production design. A warning shot across the super yacht bow of billionaires becomes a drab slog that tests your patience. Go to Full Review

Kev 5 days ago Overall the film was a generic action period piece. It was very well done and a very breezy pacing, i never found myself getting bored. The strong point was the performances from Andrew Garfield and woody Norman. The film was very enjoyable but nothing groundbreaking, I recommend watching it. Andrew Garfield’s performance in navigating the dichotomy in the virtue of Ploughman versus the radicalism within movement he ignites is perfectly played See more artie sue w 2 hrs ago Entirely too long! Soundtrack has background too loud and actors mumble. Should have cut an hour! Too repetitive! Paul Greengrass creates a modern take on the medieval epic that reflects our times with a incredibly performed ensemble led by Andrew Garfield.
