THEY WILL KILL YOU unleashes a blood-soaked, high-octane horror-action-comedy in which a young woman must survive the night at the Virgil, a demonic cult's mysterious and twisted death-trap of a lair, before becoming their next offering in a uniquely brazen, big screen battle of epic kills and wickedly dark humor.

Critics Consensus

A hyper-stylized battle royale with a vivid gothic setting, They Will Kill You's cyclical structure can grow repetitive but a fierce Zazie Beetz keeps the bloodletting infectiously fun.

They Will Kill You isn’t without its issues, but it still manages to slay the majority of them with a crooked smile, a windmill kick to the head, and a swift meat cleaver thrust to the side of the neck. Go to Full Review

“They Will Kill You” feels like helping my two-year-old niece put together a fairly simple, 12-piece puzzle, and watching her exclaim with delight before asking if we can assemble it again. Sooner or later, the final picture is going to lose its novelty. Go to Full Review

The lack of originality, along with a shallow script that would benefit from a rewrite or two, makes They Will Kill You a bit boring. Go to Full Review

What starts as a tense home-invasion film becomes a funny and gory body-horror that stylistically echoes what might be John Wick: the Video Game. Go to Full Review

There's nothing particularly original here, but it succeeds as a stylised, violent spectacle that's easy enough to enjoy. Go to Full Review

Tyrone G 11h Wow!! This is a fantastic time at the movies. Zazie Beetz shows that she has been slept on in action rolls. 5 outta 5. See more Sakinah A 14h Zazee Beats kills it as the lead character -- if Pam Grier did a horror movie then it would be this film. There's not a dull moment in this movie and the soundtrack is 🔥. See more reelitback 15h we need more black female leads in all genres, but we fucking kill it in horror!! the natural hair was everything. inspiring movie all around. See more Jazmine 16h Great film to watch with some friends any day of the week. I really enjoyed the action blended with good comedic timing. Zazie Beetz never disappoints! See more Roy J 1d Started off really well, but the whole satan fantasy lore was boring. There are only two big action sequences and then a lot of information dumb. Better than Ready or Not 2 See more Turnkey 1d All the action scenes were sped up. That was really my biggest problem with it I went in expecting a stupid horror movie (and prepared to enjoy that kind of brain break), but wanted more from the action scenes because of the trailers. Had a couple neat shots, especially the Big Bad as a shadow. See more Read all reviews
