Titanic -- you think you know the story, but think again. UNSINKABLE: Titanic Untold is the never-been-told story of the aftermath of the Titanic disaster. When the RMS Carpathia arrives in New York carrying survivors of the Titanic--passengers and crew alike--they find Senator William Alden Smith (R-MI) (Cotter Smith -- Mindhunter, X-2) has hastily convened in New York to ensure the testimony of all key witnesses. What ensues over days and weeks in New York and later Washington, DC, is a period drama not to be missed. UNSINKABLE: Titanic Untold is an exhilarating, true-life account of political interference, greed, conspiracy and a desperate grasp for accountability, interwoven with flashbacks to the heroism and sacrifice on Titanic's deck during that fateful night in April, 1912.

The film-makers must have been grateful that the tragedy happened in the dark because it covers up the fact that it looks like the lifeboats are being lowered into a swimming pool while a giant cutout ship capsizes in the background. Go to Full Review

Mildly engaging and occasionally provocative, but somewhat clunky, shallow and undercooked. Go to Full Review

"Unsinkable” is an extremely commendable and well-intentioned project that’s only held back by an occasionally stodgy disposition and the rare moments when the film’s seams peak through its otherwise glossy exterior. Go to Full Review

This straightforward drama is likely to entertain history buffs, especially those who've been entranced by the lore around the Titanic. Go to Full Review

Google 04/15/2024 Had a couple of good moments, but I thought it would be a little more in-depth See more Michael N @RT23091087 3d As a huge Titanic and ocean liner enthusiast, I was excited to watch Unsinkable: Titanic Untold, especially since it focuses on the inquiry rather than the sinking itself. Unfortunately, within minutes I was distracted by the obvious low-budget production. Modern-looking eyeglasses and apparel, along with several unconvincing British accents, made it hard to stay immersed in the period setting. The film also takes unnecessary liberties with history by inventing exchanges between survivors that are not known to have occurred. That said, Cotter Smith was excellent as the Senator and brought credibility to the inquiry scenes. I appreciate the filmmakers for tackling a lesser-known part of the Titanic story — I just wish it had been executed with greater historical precision and less manufactured drama. See more Michael W @mawilps Apr 18 This disaster movie was great. Cotter Smith, Fiona Dourif, Jayne Wisener, Karen Allen, and the rest of the cast did a greta job in this movie. This true story about the investigation of the titanic disaster was dramatic and tragic. It's about finding who is responsible for the deaths of over 1,500 people during one of the worst disasters in history. If you haven't seen this movie yet, check it out sometime. It's worth watching. See more Argyle T @Argyle Nov 14 Utter drivel...Americans good, british bad, just red meat for the uninformed...ismay used as someone to kick it seems...oh and the acting is awful See more katherine r @RT90498253 07/05/2024 What sets Unsinkable: Titanic Untold apart is its exploration of lesser known stories and perspectives, shedding light on the lives of individuals whose voices were often shadowed by the tragedy itself. The narrative unfolds with a blend of suspense and sensitivity keeping viewers on the edge of their seats while paying homage to the human spirit admits adversity. See more Hannah R @RT54434626 07/05/2024 Overall, "Unsinkable: Titanic Untold" is a captivating film that does justice to its subject matter. It succeeds not only as a historical drama but also as a testament to the enduring fascination with the Titanic's legacy. It is a must-watch for anyone interested in history, human resilience, and powerful storytelling. See more Read all reviews
