It was a bit more than that. These were writers, producers on a quest for something big, who may have stumbled along the way. Something like changing societal mores amongst the generations, and my proclivities for a sexual partner surprised me as it transgressed the line of previous heterosexuality. It ended up with a nice neat reproachment with Amber and Mummy, as well as the same with Amber and Logan, whose bluesy, folksy singing voice and guitar playing were nice. Hey, who doesn't like a movie with a happy ending? But when Logan runs away from Amber, and Amber runs back to Logan, not vice versa, what could go wrong? A better movie was made about coming out in 1985–Desert Hearts. The difference? The acting. Helen Shaver and Patricia Charboneau made me believe in the experience they were sharing with us on screen. Walk With Me lacked that level of acting and commitment (takes acting chops and commitment for two straight actresses to pull off a lesbian love story).
