Hugo S @Hugo_Shudder May 25 After the tragic death of their son, a couple moves to a quiet town in New England, hoping for a fresh start. The grieving parents soon begin experiencing paranormal activity in the old property, originally built as a funeral home for a family who left behind a terrifying secret that has awakened after 30 years. "We Are Still Here" pays tribute to the 1980s ghost flicks, following the nostalgic trend that has recently taken over horror cinema. Despite a slow start mostly characterized by familiar tropes of the haunted house subgenre, the final act is surprisingly creative and bloody gruesome. See more Juan Pablo R @RT17751320 May 12 Not a horrible movie but the plot has been done countless times before: a grieving couple, a deceased child, a medium that can sense an evil presence, a town secret, a basement that doubles as a portal to the afterlife, etc., etc. I can tolerate a recycled plot if it is done well and the acting is ok but not in this movie. Barbara Crampton is the only one that delivers a worthwhile performace. Everyone else is delivering major cheese, but then again, maybe it's due to cheesy, cliched, poorly written dialogue.
