Not a horrible movie but the plot has been done countless times before: a grieving couple, a deceased child, a medium that can sense an evil presence, a town secret, a basement that doubles as a portal to the afterlife, etc., etc. I can tolerate a recycled plot if it is done well and the acting is ok but not in this movie. Barbara Crampton is the only one that delivers a worthwhile performace. Everyone else is delivering major cheese, but then again, maybe it's due to cheesy, cliched, poorly written dialogue. At least the makeup and special effects are not that cheesy.
