What should have been a fun, kid-friendly superhero comedy ends up feeling cheap, rushed, and uninspired. The visual style and overall presentation come off as heavily derivative, especially in how it echoes better-executed superhero school concepts seen in films like The Incredibles and Sky High (2005), without capturing any of their charm, polish, or narrative strength. The characters are underdeveloped, the humor rarely lands, and the pacing feels inconsistent from start to finish. Even its superhero premise, which had potential, is wasted on a story that never finds its identity or tone. Overall, Zoom feels like a hollow imitation rather than a creative entry in the genre. It lacks originality, energy, and impact. I rate it a 0/10. It was an okay concept, but poorly executed. I had watched it with my siblings when we were kids and none of us liked it. Its not in depth, its not perfect, but it still makes me smile ear to ear when I watch it. Sometimes you can look at 100 reviews for a movie and come out with a completely different outlook then what other people did. Each of the characters is goofy in their own way. My brother loves the lead, I think the kids are great. It gives me that feeling you get when your a kid, that you too can be a superhero, that even with a pretty crappy outlook on life theres some fun and even family. And maybe im delusional with nostalgia but I dont think that's it. This is mindless fun that gives me back those thoughts and fantasy of carving my hero name on a wall before going to save the world with a team of people who may fight but still get along. And the songs in it are great, I love smashmouth and my favorite song ever is So Insane. When I give this movie 5 stars I mean it in a place better then a perfect movie, its one I actually love.
