The Death of Dick Long (2019) Korey Coleman One of the funniest movies I've seen this year. EDIT

Joker (2019) Martin Thomas It's one of these movies with all the ingredients of a great movie, but manages to not be...the story editing, the film editing cut the legs out from so much of it. I admired it from a visual standpoint, but not feeling much of anything. EDIT

Joker (2019) Korey Coleman This was brilliantly-crafted cinema. The story falls in place naturally, with great performances all around to deliver that story, and gorgeous visuals. EDIT

Dolemite Is My Name (2019) Korey Coleman I do really feel like this is Eddy Murphy's best performance to date. EDIT
Posted Oct 11, 2019
Dolemite Is My Name (2019) Martin Thomas It was highly entertaining, and I smiled from beginning to end. Good performances all around, and it was fun to go down this road. EDIT

Gemini Man (2019) Martin Thomas Sometimes I like a good dumb action movie. That's not what this is...they dropped the ball on this. EDIT
Posted Oct 11, 2019
Gemini Man (2019) Korey Coleman I didn't like the movie, though I did get some enjoyment from it because I was laughing so much...it's almost worth watching for the technology, but it feels like they didn't care about anything else, and it felt like a waste of Hollywood resources. EDIT

Downton Abbey (2019) Korey Coleman It's not a movie for everybody. It's not, and it tells you that. But I found it entertaining, not on a deep level because it is a soap opera, but it's right for the specific group, for the fans. EDIT

Abominable (2019) Korey Coleman It really made an effort...this is a movie that made me really think about myself all these years. EDIT
Posted Oct 2, 2019
Abominable (2019) Martin Thomas This has heart and charm. People really worked on it, and there's a lot of care with this...something that means something. EDIT
Posted Oct 2, 2019
American Dreamer (2018) Martin Thomas It's an intense movie with great, fantastic performances. EDIT
Posted Sep 20, 2019
Rambo: Last Blood (2019) Korey Coleman This is not Rambo... They've exhausted Rambo! EDIT
Posted Sep 20, 2019
Rambo: Last Blood (2019) Martin Thomas There's a little bit of plot, but it's so poorly acted that you don't take it seriously. EDIT
Posted Sep 20, 2019
Villains (2019) Martin Thomas It knows how have that balance between having a sense of humor, but also having you on the edge of your seat. EDIT
Posted Sep 20, 2019
Ad Astra (2019) Martin Thomas It has so much scope and scale to it. You can really feel it. EDIT
Posted Sep 20, 2019
Ad Astra (2019) Korey Coleman If you just want to go see a movie that is majestic in its visuals, then this is the movie you're probably gonna want to see. EDIT
Posted Sep 20, 2019
It: Chapter Two (2019) Martin Thomas It delivers on what a lot of people want from a sequel like this. EDIT
Posted Sep 18, 2019
It: Chapter Two (2019) Korey Coleman Maybe if they had cut it shorter? I don't know...if you're a huge fan of the original or the first one, I completely understand, but come on, man, when you're not telling a story and it's three hours, that's not good writing. EDIT
Posted Sep 18, 2019
The Fanatic (2019) Martin Thomas You just realize that they can't act, and I do feel sorry for them... EDIT
Posted Sep 18, 2019
The Fanatic (2019) Korey Coleman It starts with the best intentions, but then people really start getting reckless...there is not one shred of logic or realism in this world... EDIT
Posted Sep 18, 2019
After the Wedding (2019) Martin Thomas At times I really enjoyed it, but when it all came down, I felt a little empty. EDIT
Posted Aug 30, 2019
Good Boys (2019) Martin Thomas This might be the funniest movie I've seen this year...it caught me early, and I was surprised by just how funny it started out. EDIT
Posted Aug 29, 2019
Good Boys (2019) Korey Coleman It's an enjoyable film, but it's not for everybody...the kids can be testing, but by the end of it, I was enjoying myself. EDIT
Posted Aug 29, 2019
The Farewell (2019) Martin Thomas Awkwafina is our avatar here...you really get to know her, fall in love with her...a lot of this is getting a sense of what life in China is like on the day-to-day. EDIT
Posted Aug 29, 2019
The Farewell (2019) Korey Coleman So many well-composed shots. It's a very indie film...but this is a real, feeling film. EDIT
Posted Aug 29, 2019
The Angry Birds Movie 2 (2019) Korey Coleman There's so much fluffy stuff to fill time, inserting things that works in other movies...but that frustration didn't make me hate it. I sat there and actually had fun. EDIT
Posted Aug 29, 2019
The Angry Birds Movie 2 (2019) Martin Thomas This could've been cut to an hour and twenty minutes...something that would work better on television. EDIT
Posted Aug 29, 2019
47 Meters Down: Uncaged (2019) Martin Thomas The stuff with the sharks actually works, as dumb as this movie is. And it's pretty dumb. The environment was working, I just wish it was a smarter movie. EDIT
Posted Aug 29, 2019
Angel Has Fallen (2019) Korey Coleman It's a movie that gets crazier as it goes along, but it also gets more generic as it goes along... EDIT
Posted Aug 29, 2019
Brittany Runs a Marathon (2019) Korey Coleman It gets by on how these characters bond together, and how you root for her at the end. It will make you think about people's struggles with weight...it challenged me with the character, and I liked the message it had. EDIT
Posted Aug 29, 2019
Ready or Not (2019) Korey Coleman I really enjoyed this. It stands on its own, and it's a fun time at the movies. EDIT
Posted Aug 29, 2019
Sextuplets (2019) Korey Coleman There is some lazy stuff going on in this movie. It's bad, it's terrible. EDIT
Posted Aug 29, 2019
Sextuplets (2019) Martin Thomas It's a mess. EDIT
Posted Aug 29, 2019
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (2019) Korey Coleman It could have been much better, but I think this is fun to watch...just enjoy it, and don't mess with my book! EDIT
Posted Aug 12, 2019
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (2019) Martin Thomas It's like the Lucky Charms of horror tropes. EDIT
Posted Aug 12, 2019
Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019) Martin Thomas At the halfway point, it just stops trying to be a better movie, in favor of its action and its sets. I don't hate it, but it's not as good as the Fast & Furious movies. EDIT
Posted Aug 9, 2019
Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019) Korey Coleman Maybe we need Vin Disel and the family, I don't know...when they say two-and-a-half hours, it's like The Rock holding you down. The same jokes stretched out. EDIT
Posted Aug 9, 2019
The Kitchen (2019) Martin Thomas Margo Martindale, who is good in everything, isn't even good in this! EDIT
Posted Aug 9, 2019
The Kitchen (2019) Korey Coleman It's too bad, because I was rooting for Melissa McCarthy here. I want her to do more serious stuff...but honestly, this totally could have worked as a comedy. EDIT
Posted Aug 9, 2019
The Peanut Butter Falcon (2019) Korey Coleman While you've seen all this, I like the relationship and the casting in this movie. And I loved that ending. It's not a disappointment if you go see this. EDIT
Posted Aug 9, 2019
The Peanut Butter Falcon (2019) Martin Thomas Stick around for the third act...I loved Thomas Haden Church in this...but it's very derivative. EDIT
Posted Aug 9, 2019
Dora and the Lost City of Gold (2019) Martin Thomas Structurally, I mean, what else are you going to do? I was back and forth about it. This isn't a "good movie," but it's better than a Disney channel movie. EDIT
Posted Aug 9, 2019
Dora and the Lost City of Gold (2019) Korey Coleman It barely gets by. I got some laughs out of Boots, and they acknowledged they didn't care, in a good way. This is for the kids. EDIT

Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood (2019) Martin Thomas Tarantino has never stopped being a good filmmaker, but he stopped being a good storyteller a long time ago. It was flawed in ways it really didn't need to be...it's baffling that there wasn't a better, more cohesive overall vision. EDIT
Posted Jul 26, 2019
Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood (2019) Korey Coleman It's a polarizing thing. To me, it's a betrayal of everything I've seen from him before this. EDIT
Posted Jul 26, 2019
Crawl (2019) Korey Coleman A refreshing take on the creature feature...It's fun, a throwback to the 70s and 80s where animal attack movies were a big thing. EDIT
Posted Jul 24, 2019
Crawl (2019) Martin Thomas It's a bottle film basically, and that's what really works...this is a fun movie, a summer palette-cleanser. EDIT
Posted Jul 24, 2019
The Lion King (2019) Martin Thomas The technology is incredible, but it lacks depth and emotion. EDIT
Posted Jul 24, 2019
The Lion King (2019) Korey Coleman I'm not begrudging the money it will make, and it's a good film to take the whole family too...I did enjoy parts of it. EDIT
Posted Jul 24, 2019
Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) Korey Coleman There have been a lot of Spider-Man movies that could just not get the character down...giving this one real-world problems, things happening with him...that made him Peter Parker, a real character to me. EDIT
