Tv Season Info

Season 2 of the drama series opens with the introduction of two new entries: Buck's (Oliver Stark) sister Maddie (Jennifer Love Hewitt), who's hiding from her abusive husband, and Eddie Diaz (Ryan Guzman), who joins the team as a firefighter. As Maddie starts working as a 911 operator, Los Angeles is hit by a 7.1 earthquake that causes havok throughout the city: the first responders then risk their lives to save people from under a collapsed building. As the season progresses, the team deals with smaller crises, such as car accidents, robberies gone wrong and an emergency at an eating contest.

Watching the team mobilize and literally deflate a mechanic is an effective early example of how compact and efficient some of these "911" stories can sometimes be.

The beauty and nuance of 9-1-1 is its ability to draw us into each of these characters and make us feel like we are them. We are the heroes in the story.

Audience Reviews for 9-1-1: Season 2

9-1-1 stands out for its characters development, but loses in stories already told and some overacting performances. I give you the exemple of Jennifer Love Hewitt. Personally, I was always a fan of her, because I Know (and Still Know) What You Did Last Summer and Ghost Whisperer, but right now I can even can say she is realy versatile and can give everything and more than her role needs, the problem here is the "everything more" part… Sometimes it becomes exhaustive and schmaltzy seeing her character crying all the time. The plot is predictable and unrealistic also, but the visual effects and the soundtrack are great.

great season! better storylines than season one
  • Sep 29, 2019
Phenomenal show with above average acting. Storyline remains captivating throughout episodes more than a few tears are shed for the relatable characters.
  • May 17, 2019
9-1-1 Season 2 has finished and this procedural drama keeps on delivering despite its unbelievable and incredible incidents, convenient and cheesy romances and the fact that everything seems to happen to these first responders (this team really suffers a great deal). But Ryan Murphy's crew always keeps it inspiring with life lessons at the end of each episode and with the help of great characters brought to life by an amazing cast.

the only show that makes me feel like an emotional mess
  • Apr 30, 2019
One of the best shows to come out. Completely obsessed.
  • Mar 28, 2019
This show was bad from episode 1. Pass on this. It tries too hard to address PC social crap.
  • Mar 20, 2019
More of what season 1 was, though the addition of some extended storylines across episodes is a welcome change of pace.
  • Mar 20, 2019
    A newww seasonnn! Nice :D
  • Mar 20, 2019
Very good show and a solid season 2. Was upset they replace Connie Britton with Love Hewitt, but her storyline arc has been good.
