The first episode shows that the show has the ability to be fascinating, but it is in a very intermittently way. [Full Review in Spanish]

'American Horror Story: Cult' began shocking, as usually happens in all seasons, and has ended up losing all the strength on the road, becoming almost exhausted and without resources in its end. [Full Review in Spanish]

To say that Murphy's series handles this was subtlety would be a lie. Instead, it directly confronts the phobias that we feel as individuals and as a country.

Cult is a stand out addition to the AHS series, mostly due to its portrayal of real horrors.

American Horror Story: Cult is truly giving me Murder House vibes solely off the fact that this is the first time I have been scared while watching this show.

While Lange's humor was subtle, side of the mouth, and pure honey-glazed glass shards, Billie Lourd comes equipped with that certain Tweetable humor that is irresistible and scene stealing, but for entirely different reasons.

Simply put, AHS: Cult is fun - a word I never thought I'd use to describe a show devoted to clowns, cults, and reacting to Donald Trump.

If AHS is known for anything, it's that it doesn't do subtle. The references to the election - particularly in the finale - are so heavy-handed, it will make you cringe and by the end, you'll be baffled as to what it's actually trying to say.

American Horror Story: Cult is not that dark and disturbing, but it is hilarious.
September 8, 2017
This irreverent election-inspired batch is the most American, most horrific, and most story-driven American Horror Story yet.

With remarkable speed, Ryan Murphy has added MAGA to this rotation of terror, hip to the sentiment that Trump's election is the horror story from which we cannot wake.

Sarah Paulson is a peerless performer but watching her cower, scream and unravel is less effective. when 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the competing channels are filled with far scarier clowns.
September 6, 2017
Besides not making a ton of sense, Cult's biggest problem is how it exploits the very serious realities of modern America as fodder for its typical gaudy scares.

Cult tries hard to straddle the line between horror and satire, and to be both relevant and shocking in its relevance. The end result half-succeeds, swerving between exaggerated satire and eye-rolling drama.
