Tv Season Info

In the fifth season of this family-cop drama, Danny (Donnie Wahlberg) gets a new boss after Sgt. Gormley (Robert Clohessy) gets a big promotion from Frank (Tom Selleck): He's now Special Assistant to the Commissioner. But before Gormley moves into his new position, he temporarily reassigns some of his squad's partners, including Danny and Baez (Marisa Ramirez), when one detective comes out as gay and his partner refuses to work with him. Meanwhile, Jamie (Will Estes) volunteers to temporarily partner up with a cop at his squad who's been labeled a rat for testifying against her former partner. Bonds are further tested when Henry (Len Cariou) spots a man who's been in hiding for years since shooting a police officer. The shooter's cop son gets promoted to detective, and the son must decide whether he should try to get his father to confess to committing this serious crime.

Critic Reviews for Blue Bloods Season 5

All Critics (1) | Top Critics (0)

The barbs that flew between Jamie and Danny across the Sunday dinner table were great fun. They all acted a bit like 5th graders but that's what siblings do sometimes and as annoying as it can be to be in the middle of, it's an awful lot of fun to watch.

Audience Reviews for Blue Bloods: Season 5

  • Jul 16, 2016
A show that's completely enthralling, thoroughly entertaining and season 5 put all characters in key roles with intensity! All actors are fantastic and their being family (related) is convincing! Even saw Erin and Danny make identical facial gestures, just like "real siblings!" Linda getting shot brought us to our knees.

Our favorite series on Netflix. May it be continued forever!
  • Aug 23, 2015
Still faithfully following Blue Bloods through all of its seasons. It keeps getting better and better. CBS is doing a great job in providing and renewing the largest number of awesome shows to keep us entertained. CBS, please continue to do so. So many of the other networks are letting us down by pushing their 'reality' shows on us and cancelling or failing to renew the few good ones that they have. It's easy to see why CBS is #1 in the networks' race.

continues to be well-crafted drama, some shows thinner than most.
  • Dec 25, 2014
I am about 12 episodes into the first season, watching on Netflix. I really like this series.
