Bob's Burgers: Season 2 Photos

Tv Season Info

Season 2 of the animated sitcom that follows the escapades of hamburger restaurateur Bob Belcher (voice of H. Jon Benjamin) and his quirky family is highlighted by the "Burgerboss" episode, which was Emmy-nominated for Outstanding Animated Program. In it, Bob becomes obsessed with a burger-flipping video game after restaurant rival Jimmy Pesto (Jay Johnston) beats the high score and insults Bob on the leaderboard. In other standout outings, Bob's Burgers receives a bad review from a vicious food critic (Patton Oswalt), which prompts Bob to visit the critic's house for a do-over; and Bob is invited to do his thing during a cooking segment on a morning-new show, but Gene (Eugene Mirman) upstages his dad.

Much of the charm of the series comes from the childlike silliness of many of the jokes, but the real meat of Bob's Burgers can be found in the characters.

The thing that consistently makes this show so pleasant (and occasionally awesome) to watch is the interplay between the main characters.

What's most remarkable about Bob's Burgers is how improbably poignant it can be while shamelessly indulging in the peculiar environs and dreamscapes that emerge from small-town livin'.

An adventurous episode, "The Belchies" proved that Bob's Burgers could succeed just as well outside of the restaurant.

Aug 28, 2019 | Full Review…

The season's first two episodes aren't as consistently funny as last spring's best outings, but they do a good job of showcasing both the style of Bob's Burgers and the deep roster of characters the show has already assembled.

After a bit of an uneven start in its first season, the show has quickly become an instant classic.

Sep 4, 2018 | Full Review…

Perhaps I enjoy Bob's Burgers so much because it's an optimistic family sitcom that doesn't turn me off with mawkishness, cliches or tired writing.

Quirky animated comedy deftly mixes the bizarre with the sweet.

season 2 is not as good nor funny as season 1. but still have the same charm, and still my go-to happy-go-lucky shows.
  • Jan 15, 2017
Again, a very funny season. Even better than the first, I recommend this show for those with 'poopy' humor.

An improvement over last season, Bob's Burgers Season 2 is more consistently funny and utilizes its main characters to create a good dynamic that's fun to watch.
  • Jun 01, 2014
A stronger sophomore year for Bob's Burgers, that manages to be edgy yet not raunchy, sweet yet not sappy, and bizarre yet not silly…too silly anyway.
  • Jan 30, 2014
