What should have been an exciting opportunity to explore a largely untouched era of the galaxy instead turned into a series weighed down by weak writing, inconsistent character decisions, and a story that often seemed more interested in making a statement than telling a compelling Star Wars story. The biggest problem was the writing. The characters frequently made decisions that felt forced simply to move the plot from one scene to another. Important revelations lacked the emotional impact they should have had, while major character moments were often rushed or poorly developed. Instead of becoming invested in the characters, I found myself questioning why they were behaving the way they did. The pacing was another major weakness. The show spent considerable time building mysteries, but the payoff often wasn’t worth the buildup.
