I really did not enjoy this film, it is the most making out I have seen in a movie. The acting was basic in my opinion, the story is predictable from the second it hits the screen. I don't really know what they were going for, it's just not an enjoyable watch.
The Shinning was great, this movie was okay. Visually it had some cool stuff going on, the story however was a bit strange. I really thought the casting was spot on, it was also cool to see the old characters reimagined.
This was a great coming of age film, the story was warm and conveyed it's point without being graphic. I enjoyed the acting it was real and believable, better than that was the cinematography. I could watch this movie again, I recommend for all young audiences.
I feel deeply for these families, no one should have to go through something like this. I understand that this documentary does only feed into one side of the story, I think in a way it has to be done like that. To me it was gripping and raw, hard to portray those emotions if it was fake. I just hope the inspiration is there for those abused to feel supported.
I was not a big fan of losing all the original music, although the cgi was pretty good. The human story was interesting, great cast overall. I like Tim Burton's films, this is jist one of my least favorites.
