With such an amazing library of material to draw from, it was difficult to reconcile why they would choose to turn to completely unnecessary experimental musical numbers with an actor who was not capable of carrying them when they could have fallen back on the music we all love so much.
Not my favorite Spiderman movie, but still worth seeing. It was always going to suck being the movie that follows up on Endgame but they did a good job.
This was fairly dark material that didn't utilize humor the same way the other MCU movies do. I enjoyed it, moved very fast and the fights were pretty good. Not the best comic book movie out there but definitely worth seeing. Sophie Turner is excellent as the Pheonix and this movie serves up Jean Grey's backstory as well as the genesis of the Pheonix. As usual the audience score is pretty accurate and the critics are off their meds.
It was as good as the second but not as good as the first. The next should be fantastic though, it leaves off with a clear path to John Wick 4 and makes no bones about what the next chapter will entail.
This movie isn't winning any Academy Awards but it's a lot of fun. They turned a classic story inside out and left it ready for a sequel. Everything is done well, from the casting to the score which results in a movie that is a lot better than it could have been.
