Began by chance (I was actually looking for some politican-spy kind of serives), ended up binge watching the whole season. The plot is smart and not obvious at all, the quality of the cast is excellent and the soundtrack is superb! I guess the unexpectedly low critic rating is due to the fact the this show is surely not meant to accommodate political correctness. Kudos to the producers!
I have been a loyal fan of Sacha Baron Cohen since one of his first movie "Ali G in Da House". I have since then wondered how he would perform dramatic roles instead of his usual comedy characters. I finally had the chance to see him both as a dramatic actor and producer, the result is truly spectacular. The TV shows is dense, extremely realistic. It gives a wide view (someone will not agree because of the topic) of a short era and a tiny plot of land where so many events happened. The photography is 7/10, they could have done better. Same for the music, just sufficient. Final thought: definitely worth to binge watch.
