Its Achilles heel is the difficulty Gondry has in switching from the magic realism back into the more earthbound aspects of the story. Still, the movie has a gentle, heartfelt vibe that is hard to resist, particularly if you're a movie fan.

One of my favourite older movie’s starring Jack Black and also one of my favourite older movie’s starring Danny Glover as well. I don’t care that the audience score is only 56%. 10 out of 10.

I love this film. the script is crazy and the characters are endearing, it's a beautiful film Perhaps too long, perhaps not really. it's a really creative film in all senses. really, it's a treat.

I am sorry but I am not a fan of this movie because the story is s simple and so small its worth only 30 min run time, but its spread to an 1 and 30 minutes......

I don't know what people are talking about with these low reviews. This movie is low key amazing and heartwarming. Brilliant little gags and goofy script, jack black straight killing it in one of his best roles, and a final few scenes to warm your hearts. This movie is a solid four stars. At least 75% on the tomatometer. Watch it and love it
