Signs is a tense experience; even the opening credits lunge at your throat with orchestral shrieks. It may one day reveal itself as a minor classic, a new Invasion of the Body Snatchers for the manufactured scare of its day.

It's the content that's to blame. Signs works on a confused storyboard. What's Shyamalan trying to say anyways? Nothing, or rather a bit too much.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Lots of meaning in this film intertwined with the fiction, but still grounded. Could have used more polish in the ending sequence (weird pacing, bad action) but overall a great film

Signs, what a beautiful and suspenseful sci-fi thriller film. The plot twist was unforgettable. Mel Gibson does great. Joaquin Phoenix’s performance was amazing. I definitely see M. Night Shyamalan’s mind and style in this. The ending, crazy. It was also one of the movies that made me want to be a director at a certain point. The visuals were great. My favorite scene in this movie was when Joaquin Phoenix is watching the news and then, he sees footage of these kids at a orphanage in Brazil see a alien or a demon in camouflage behind a bush, then, it shows how the alien looks like. Overall, I give Signs a 10/10 or a 5/5 stars.
