Horror fan 4 @Horrorfan4life Sep 22, 2026 After a second time watching this movie it still was as good then as it was just now. Great cast of actors and gorgeous women. Corky the blonde is awesome. TT is a geek just trying to be accepted by everyone. The daughter of duke is a virgin whose hounded by everyone but duke acts as a mentor to TT. This is a good coming of age story. The subplot about the wager on the corvette is pretty funny, and in fact, belongs in a film of its own. See more Feb 3, 2014 Entertaining coming-of-age movie set amongst the California surf culture. It's low budget, with the music mostly new songs composed by Fred Karlin. But, given it's production limitations, it does a very good job as a character study. And, the movie gives you a good sense of place and time.
