K G @KatyG-S 1h This movie is notorious & taken differently. I do not really want to analyse as a review, but say sentences about it. The first scene of the movie was good because we saw a ginger girl named Annie (just like the origional). Not much of what people say in the movie are pointless; Annie's concerns about politicians is that they can lie & let us down. Colleen Hanningam is such a mood: she cannot stand having those girls around & having some redemption - she is me, to care has put a strain on me. About her name, Colleen is a name for any bad woman, just like in the real world: Colleen Hoover or Colleen Ballinger. Suck them up in the vacuum! Perhaps children should not be used in political campaigns. Could her real parents have disowned her? No wonder she says that those were not her real parents & she is a Foster child. The music got me through anything. And this Annie actually did enjoy the original - now those are the positive parts. It's modern take got me unlike "Oliver". I feel like you honestly need to not hate life to like this movie 😭 The music is fun and so is the concept of the movie. It does a good job of making it feel nolstalgic/true to the OG but it transitions to the reality of what the 2010s were. The only thing that I will say that I didn’t love is the way they handled it being a musical. The score is great and same with the music, but gosh they did not have to shy away from the musical aspect like they did. It’s hilarious and a comfort movie type of thing. Amazing music, scenery, acting, chemistry, just such a cute movie. A lot of people write bad reviews, but I think they're just blinded by nostalgia. It's modernized! She doesn't have red hair! It's so different from the original! They are all dumb complaints. It's good that it's different, I mean, who wants something that they already have? If it were not modernized and the same as the original, what is the point of making another movie when you can watch the original? I was a kid when this came out, and I thought it was the only Annie. I got it on DVD and watched it so many times, I was so surprised to see bad reviews. It's an amazing movie, and it's not just me; all the kids of the 2010s were obsessed with this movie. My parents and grandparents love it too, it's great, give it a chance. Great family movie!
