While recent winners like All Of You have proven there’s still juice in the classic friends-to-lovers template, watching People We Meet On Vacation feels more like ordering a sparkling tropical cocktail and getting served tap water. Go to Full Review

A strong supporting cast — Lukas Gage, Molly Shannon, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jameela Jamil and Lucien Laviscount – ups the entertainment value. Since rom-coms have been a bit blah of late, this one will satisfy that itch even if it’s no gamechanger. Go to Full Review

If you put this on, on a weekend afternoon, you will be fine. It is pleasant to watch. But the things that made the book special, I think, are almost impossible to preserve in a two-hour movie. Go to Full Review

While the film successfully brings Henry’s charming and vibrant world to life, it struggles to make itself memorable beyond its runtime. Go to Full Review

Merna W @mer11111 2d The first thing that came to mind was when harry met sally movie , and how it's a twist on this story but in a very hallmark tacky way. Friends to lovers trope for me is very tricky, if you miss this sweet spot , it blows up in your face like this movie. The characters were extremely netflixed , i don't know how but any movie produced by them is just very flat , unimpressive and not a "let's sit down to watch this movie" kind of movie. Netflix sort of strips away the essence of being a real person really is. My two stars are for the quirkiness brought by the lead actors because they really did try to do their best but it was doomed to mediocrity. Also i can't help but notice the propaganda in 2026 that is still promoting giving up on your dream to prove to a guy that you love him. Come on we came a long way to reach the fact that two adults can close the gap by meeting each other in the middle. See more Lindsay V. @NateCanDo 2d I know this is just the millennial remake of When Harry Met Sally, but this was a nice little romcom. It’s nice when the leads of these kinds of movies actually have fantastic “will they, won’t they” chemistry. See more Storm G. @stormdjarin Mar 8 This movie is now my new personality. I don’t know where to begin besides saying I LOVE EMILY HENRY. I understand readers being upset, but Emily has stated herself that “the book is always going to be there for you, it’s not going to change.” I was internally kicking and screaming, while having a huge smile on my face watching this. I’m not ready for Beach Read and Book Lovers adaptations. See more Rob A @RT76386004 Mar 8 It grew on me as it went along; more of a romantic drama than comedy if you ask me. Thumbs up for couples or if you can't decide what to watch (as is often the case.) See more Mariya F @mmmariya Mar 6 Terrible. Boring people boring story. No chemistry.
