"Ready or Not 2: Here I Come" feels behind the ball, not ahead of the game, and unfortunately, this is no escapist, or even cathartic, horror romp. Read the news instead if you’d like a real scare. Go to Full Review

Newton is a fun addition as the bubbly Faith, but the game Weaving is MVP again: a sharp finger in the eye of the one percent. This is a broader sequel, though, that only has more of the same for her to do. Go to Full Review

If the original was a perfectly aimed dagger, Here I Come is a blood-splattered sledgehammer. Not as precise, but still capable of doing some serious damage. Go to Full Review

The filmmakers don’t seem to have the slightest clue that pummeling a pretty, defenseless girl’s face into hamburger might sour their cheesy ‘80s music cue humor. The approach to violence is completely unexamined. Go to Full Review

Somehow bigger, better, and zanier than the original. Giving Weaving a partner to play off of in Newton allows for the truly unhinged premise to be a little more grounded. The rest of the new cast are also here to play for keeps. Go to Full Review
