Jeanine W @RT21080800 Aug 19 2/10 😬 The way the characters interact makes no sense, and the acting is, unfortunately, not very good. The timeline is very strange too, with really bizarre choices plot-wise like chloroform use in the middle of a busy classroom, inconsistent use of the protagonist's native language amongst family, and these weird side plots/side deaths? Two points for costumes, lighting/sets and cinematography. I wonder if the book was actually decent but I cannot recommend the film!
