What to Know

Critics Consensus

Spaceman's poignant themes are partly brought to life by sensitive performances from a talented cast, but it fails to consistently engage with its most interesting ideas.

Audience Says

Spaceman definitely isn't for everybody, but it does a decent job of adapting a slow, cerebral story that's easier to engage with in print.

No matter how much Sandler makes the audience feel for Jakub, it can be hard to sustain an entire picture with nothing more than overarching sadness. And “Spaceman” never finds another register. Go to Full Review

Spaceman is ultimately Sandler’s show but it’s one astronaut movie that ultimately seems very short on rocket fuel. Go to Full Review

Stephen C @bob25009 14h Success in 1 hour and 48 minutes. Rated R for Language. Starring Adam Sandler as an astronaut. See more Maria D. @Tetisol Jul 5 Really annoying romantic/dramatic scenes, when his mission is to help humanity. The author decided analyzing a failing marriage would be a better theme than his mission. See more semitar6 T @Laqudis Jun 27 I thought this movie was very deep and thoughtful. I would definitely rate this on par with Hail Mary or even a little better. Sandler did something on film he rarely does, emote real emotion. See more Lana J @anal1 Jun 12 It started out pretty dry, but halfway through I realized that there was a lot of meaning to it that wasn't obvious. I believe there are many lessons to be learned and many secrets being revealed in this movie, as well as in life and the understanding of the universe! See more Nomvuzo M @RT07588826 Jun 6 I absolutely loved this moving, even brought me to tears ❤️🥺 See more Ria A @RiaAllegra Jun 3 Maybe I'm just a die-hard Sandman fan but I loved it. I watched it with a friend and by the end we both looked at each other like 'what the f' in the best way. It kinda left as stumped and thinking. Which is the best you can ask for.
