Critics Consensus

The Angry Birds Movie is substantially more entertaining than any film adapted from an app has any right to be -- which may or may not be much of an endorsement.

The Angry Birds Movie gets the job done, but there are strange tonal shifts here and a surprising amount of off-color jokes. Go to Full Review

The Angry Birds Movie is really not bad. It is actually very actively okay. The film has taken its bird-brained brand... and used it to construct characters and plots that are certainly serviceable, and possibly even inspired. Go to Full Review

The Angry Birds Movie is childish and occasionally cute and capitalises on the game's once addictive popularity. Go to Full Review

About as plot heavy as you'd imagine a movie based on an app would be. It's an underdog tale with messages of never giving up and being true to yourself but mostly its an excuse for bad bird jokes and lots of fine feathered action. Go to Full Review

Why am I even being asked to invest in these cute little bird characters when I know their ultimate fate is a slingshot-launched kamikaze mission? Go to Full Review

Triplet mom 06/23/2022 I loved this movie that I took my 7 year old triplets to. We all left happy See more JUAN Medina 06/22/2022 My grandkids enjoyed it See more Ezekial D @Cheddarbeans 57m The Angry Birds movie is just awesome. I thoroughly enjoyed its humour and smart jokes. Underneath the cartoony nonsense of Birds hating pigs like the games, the movie tells a story of colonialism and how the natives fight back for their freedom and their treasures (their eggs). This movie helped me write a base for my history essay on British Policies at the Cape. Due to the underlying theme of colonialism in this movie, it became easy to link British Control of Southern Africa to this movie For example, When Britain had control of the Cape, they abolished slavery, which on the surface seemed humanitarian but in actuality, the now freed slaves were not given any financial compensation, thus the British now had a cheap labour force for the newly started factories. This was similar to the Angry Birds movie in that the Pigs came with the guise of friendship with the Birds and give them new technologies, but in actuality wanted to steal their eggs. I got 44/50 for my essay btw See more Joseph H @RT52833442 4d Ladies get busy , we're gonna be laying some of eggs tonight See more Izaya R @RT61831885 Aug 25 The first angry bird movies were an ahead of its time; is the most accurate video game movie adaptation during 2016, funny moments, even the main villain is a rich man kidnapping kids to eat them at his island. A decade later, the movie still has comedy moments with A-list actors. the angry birds movie is the best right/left wing propaganda movie ever.
