Critics Consensus

Joey King makes The Kissing Booth 2 better than it could have been, but this slapdash sequel will leave viewers puckering up for all the wrong reasons.

While Noah and Elle's relationship feels less toxic in this film, which is slower and drags throughout its more than two-hour run, the pair still struggles to be honest with each other. Go to Full Review

To The Kissing Booth 2's credit, it's not as aggressively problematic as its predecessor. Go to Full Review

You can soak in the movie's basic premise and overacting just as long as you know this pool's shallow. Go to Full Review

While there's an over-reliance on montage and the film still can't make us invest in Elle & Noah as a couple, it's leaps and bounds better than the book, thanks to Joey King's committed performance and the addition of Taylor Zakhar Perez. Go to Full Review

If you liked the first film or you just enjoy a corny, predictable rom-com, this film is well worth a Netflix watch. Go to Full Review

av 8 @anagha.vinay 4d What is it with every most wanted guys all being into literally the painfully, abnormally stunted personality of hers? And they are all twice her size. Nothing Noah says clears his side now because everything involving Chloe gives such a wrong and awful vibe—the one single thing they are left to do is physically cheat. I mean, why again is Noah into her? Very the-summer-I-turned-prettyish. For God's sake Elle is so dense. No sane self-respecting girl would have had half as much patience as Rachel. That's entirely on Flynn though. See more Keith T @JuanHughes12 Jan 31 If you’re into watching a movie full of non-stop dramatic problems, than this ones for you.
