Makes for compulsive watching even as you despair over the protagonist family's self-inflicted misery. The ending, perhaps not the liking of many, is rather apt.

The low popcorn score baffled me until I read some of the reviews and realized nobody has an attention span anymore and need to be spoon fed a predictable ending like baby food lol nevertheless this is a great movie

The trailer didn't grab me, but I'd read enough about it to give it a shot, and glad I did. The plot is almost beside the point. The smoldering emotional intensity kept me rivetted. Excellent performances all the way around.
