See more Gregory S. @thisoneismyfavorite Mar 25 Epic tale of adventures and love for the Yellowstone ranch. I was supremely satisfied with whole story as it unfolds. It reels you in every step of the way and was really enjoyable. The dramatic landscapes are the backdrop of a long journey for the Duttons and those that revolve around the timeline. The only troubling thing I had questioned was Helen Mirans choice of accent. I don’t think it fit, but if I directed it I may have opted for pulling back on the Irish accent because I’m not sure I believed it fits the timeline. And I also love the way the director really submerged the audience into the world. I often felt like I was sitting at the campfires. It felt intimate. I felt the tension. Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren were captivating. Brandon Sklenar also has true star power in his vibe. Storylines kept me interested. Now for the bad: Ugh! The writing was either totally absurd over the top sadistic for the bad guys. And way sappy sappy for the good guys. The sappy parts also felt flipping boring at times. The Spencer and Alexandra storyline wasn’t boring, but I also couldn’t stand these characters. They’re narcissistic, rude, and leaving a trail of innocent victims in their path - all for the sake love for one another? Huh? Good looks but unsympathetic, yucky people. Each episode left me feeling dark and depressed. There isn’t any character that I can relate to. I don’t find any of them to be inspiring or funny and the plot doesn’t do much to interest me.
