What to Know

Critics Consensus

A powerhouse trio isn't enough to save a middling narrative that lacks originality, pizzazz, and a sustainable conceit.

The bigger reason I’m irked is that this series keeps insisting on the power of female friendship, while undermining it at every turn. Go to Full Review

Apple TV+ is serving up a perfectly adequate thriller to accompany wine nights, best watched while suspending a generous portion of disbelief in order to have some mindless fun, never to be discussed again. Go to Full Review

Fortified with episodic cliffhangers and a glamorous L.A. setting, Imperfect Women might make a satisfactory binge for domestic-thriller devotees. Just don’t expect authentic kinship, let alone depth or soul. Go to Full Review

I ate this series up! It's sexy, fun, each episode kept me guessing and despite the title, Kerry, Elisabeth and Kate are all perfect in this!! Go to Full Review

Well-written and blessed with a five-star cast, this compelling drama brings to mind other female-forward ripped-from-the-novel adaptations like Big Little Lies and Sharp Objects. Go to Full Review

Mary Ann J @RT78001216 1d I didn't make it through the 1st episode. Bored. After being completely mesmerized by Ms. Moss's performances in The Handmaids Tale, I found this show to be a complete waste of her talent. This show is not showcasing any of the other actors' talents. See more J L @HonestJ 1d Good acting, but I find it difficult to get into a series where the entire season revolves around a single occurrence, which is the mysterious death of a friend. See more Joie H @Joiedevivre 3d It’s hard to resist a cast like this. They are what keeps you coming back: Kerry Washington, Elizabeth Moss, Leslie Odom, Kate Mara, Stoll, Flynn, and Kinnaman. It’s gorgeous talented people with nice voices in beautiful sets and gorgeous clothes and great make up. Yes, the story is predictable, but the dialogue is good. It’s the fantasy version of who-knows-where: the Hamptons, Greenwich CT, Long Island, Vancouver? Doesn’t really matter —it’s visual pleasure. Even if you’re walking around and not even looking at it, the sound is really nice. Their voices, the score, all plays in this nice middle range. Nothing high-pitched nothing too low just in the sweet spot. It’s escapist and mindless, and sometimes that’s what you need at the end of the day with a cocktail and the TV on the timer. See more Anya S. @AnyaS 5d Wasted talent. Waste of your time. Three episodes in and no real story. Periodic erotic scenes can’t spice up this bland bore. Washington’s constant pout is one-note acting and annoying. Robert character is stiff as a board. Skip this one. See more Garden G @GardenGurl Mar 28 If Hallmark and Lifetime and every soap opera had a baby… and then that baby got dropped on its head a few dozen times… and it was never taught to read or wrote… I’m pretty sure it could still write a better story and script. I mean, it’s so bad, I’m not sure I can even say I’m hate-watching anymore. How on earth did this get such amazing actors when third graders could write more human-sounding dialogue and could come up with storylines that are more realistic, and they would each do a better job acting in it. Seriously, there is not a single realistic thing in this. It is beyond bad. Anyone want to start a class action suit for the lost time in our lives? See more Rosey R. @Rosey26 Mar 27 Zero Stars-literally. Waste of my time watching 3 episodes. See more Read all reviews
