Critics Consensus

The Week Of suggests promise in further collaborations between Sandler and Robert Smigel, but its shopworn premise and listless execution aren't enough to recommend it.

How bad could it be? Well, as the popular "Mad Men" meme goes, it's "Not great, Bob!" Go to Full Review

There's no way audiences would pay to see The Week Of at a theater. Even streaming it might feel like a rip-off. Go to Full Review

Even with helpful title cards telling us it's "MONDAY," "TUESDAY," etc., etc., this is a week that feels 10 days long. Go to Full Review

Like an aging fighter that steps into the ring on short notice, Robert Smigel's The Week Of is overweight, unfocused and hungry for a paycheck. Go to Full Review

'The Week Of' is a hilarious and touching story about the fear of disappointment, stubbornness and the most heartfelt farewells of middle / lower class parents that a film with an explicit tribute to 'Footloose' may have. [Full Review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

It's not so much a bad film, just an immensely tepid one with phoned-in performances, sadly an increasingly common occurrence for the leading pair. Go to Full Review

See more thiago s @Thiagostone Dec 22 Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom See more Logan G. @SequelsArentAlwaysBad12 Nov 2 The Week Of is a hilarious, awkward Sandler movie and is one of my favorites. See more Ryland C @Rycordes1 Aug 9 It was alright. I wish the pacing wasn’t so slow with a bunch of filler happening. I feel like there was way too much going on. And also there were WAY too many characters. Adam Sandlers character is great in this film as well as his daughter who is getting married in this movie but the other characters especially Chris Rocks character is either forgettable or annoying. But the comedy is funny, it has a lot of memorable scenes and it had a really sweet ending. O resto do elenco cumpre o objetivo. See more A H @RT80721310 04/17/2025 This movie is an intense and drama filled comedy that emphasizes on whatever could go wrong will go wrong. It captures the chaos of having a big family and trying to make everything make in a wedding go right. The short week feels like a month but as life throws you twists and turns that the days feel never ending. However, some aspects of the movie fell flat and too drawn out. A good Adam Sandler movie that was worth the watch See more Read all reviews
