All this biopic material about the corruption of Kaczynski’s high IQ is drab and lazy: it simply recycles A Beautiful Mind and assumes, job done.

Sadly, Unabomber is not great. In fact, its greatest accomplishment is how it takes such great talent and such a potentially textured subject and creates such an unbelievably dull, misguided and lifeless result.

As is customary with Netflix's dramatized true crime universe, Unabomber reduces all of Kaczynski's crimes, his psychology and behaviour, to "Here's the catalyst, and this is why he did it," lacking any nuance or thoughtfulness.

A compellingly mature yet unsettling showcase for Jacob Tremblay eagerly ranging his caliber in effective conviction under the film’s psychological examination that seeks terrorized roots down the disturbing rabbit’s hole, with provoked questions mainly regarding the framework that dimmed the potential suspense in favor of brewing the inner intimidation without much atmospheric immersion. I thought JT was outstanding in this! Whilst I understand people are commenting that there was nothing new; no new 'slant' on the story, I'm inclined to disagree. The psychology and philosophy explored and played with, are fascinating... albeit worrying. Whilst RC is undoubtedly a cornerstone of this movie, JT's masterful management and manipulation of on-screen behaviour and emotion are what truly make this something great. Unfortunately, the aforementioned all seem to be reasons why SW's casting doesn't work (which is a shame, IMO). Whilst its pace, and the level of dramatisation (why remove the key FBI Investigator?!) employed, are both questionable, overall I felt this to be an engaging, interesting telling of the Unabomber account

Film piuttosto interessante, costantemente diviso a metà tra la classica ricerca dell'attentatore e una più originale introspettiva di un particolare periodo della sua adolescenza. Entrambi i filoni presentano punti forti e punti deboli che sostanzialmente equivalgono, anche se il più grande difetto probabilmente è quel senso di incompiutezza che rimane riguardo al gioco di forza creatosi tra il giovane protagonista e il suo docente Russell Crowe. Oltre a questo, in alcuni momenti si percepiscono delle sequenze non particolarmente utili alla trama, quanto di banale riempimento. Comunque un racconto interessante con i suoi aspetti positivi e gradevoli.
