While the central storyline delves into the relationship between the pretty noona and her childhood friend's younger brother, the most compelling subplot was workplace sexual harassment. Go to Full Review

Julie B Nov 6 I watched this on K Drama+ over two nights. It covers a few situations:- Older woman, younger man relationship. Family objection. Mother like mine🙄 objected to every possible man in my life and filled with bitterness also. Workplace sexual harassment and manipulation of female employees to fit in with male management expectations. Its a real love story that survives eventually despite going against family and friends. Age difference and conformity. See more Gania R Jun 6 SOMETHING EMOTIONALLY MATURE Okay once again I'm back with my reviews after a long period of time I had an urge to write review for a particular series/movies. First of all the actors have done their job effortlessly and big applause to them and the director (Ahn pan seok) and beautifully or rather maturely written by kim eun..they really did make a realistic series with the content being so much emotionally mature and relatable. Jin a's(heroine ) character development is one thing that really impresses me ,.the end was where you will realise how much emotionally mature this content was where they loved each other but their inner conflicts are now interfering .one might need some explanation of whyyy in the last second and last episode but it only shows the reality and if u really are mature you would know the answer of why.because jin a was not ready -mentally,emotionally. She wanted to face not flee .and joon hui (hero)needed and wanted to flee regardless of any situation. And that meant they wanted different things .and of course how can I forget all those butterfly giving moments...and please watch that hand holding scene of ep 3 please don't fast forward it. The whole series is a must watch please watch ,it will sure make you smile ,laugh ,cry and then finally satisfied. See more Harish M Feb 21 Love the series. A bit hesitant at first; watched it for the female lead from "Crash Landing On You". Her performance was once again top notch. As a young man nearing 30, this series was so emotionally painful to handle. It captures carefully the struggles faced by a woman. Spoiler alert - Blamed for her love, inappropriately treated at work, disrespect at home, struggling between her best-friend and boy-friend. All of these, just because she was born a woman. It pains my heart, even after several months of watching this series. If there is one critic, then it is the way they ended quickly. The ending was not even a band-aid to the pain caused in previous episodes. See more Gina B 12/10/2024 Currently on episode 5 and I have to say the music choice for this show is God Awful. It's so bad that I had to stop to make a comment about it. I am enjoying the plot but the music is so off-putting I've had mute the sound every time the songs come on. I've never had to do that with any show I've ever watched. A bit disappointed that the music selection is ruining my view of the show as a whole. See more Cathy A 09/29/2024 This film totally took the viewer on an emotional rollercoaster...up high one moment and then plummeting to the lowest depths in the next. The pain that the characters feel through most of the drama is heavy to experience. By the end, I was begging for a sweet, unrealistic conclusion to kill the depression that had settled over me. Without giving a spoiler, the ending was lackluster. The filmmakers could have done so much more and fell short. The performances of the male and female leads were definitely redeemable qualities though. This film was good for one run through, but I don't think I could spend this kind of time again watching it, no matter how much I love the two main actors. See more Tom P 03/26/2024 Where to start? Romance movie? You have to be kidding. The people in this movie are so dysfunctional that it is hard to believe that any romance, even if allowed, could blossom from any of these people? Jin is a product of an extremely abusive mother, who obviously has mental illness. So, Jin grows up with no confidence, makes terrible choices and can't be assertive because she grew up being constantly beaten down. Everyone enables the mother's illness. She's allowed to always be nasty, angry and hit people and they just take it. When the father says to Jin, "your mother only wants the best for you". That's the scary part. The mother only cares about what other people think and is ultra controlling. Jin is rather immature for someone approaching 40 but that is understandable coming from a mother like that. So of course when a nice looking boy comes along and soothes are broken ego...well, a romance ensues. So what about Seo. Well, he has his own issues, maturity is one of them. He is 27 going on 17. The joint lying that the couple continues without thinking ahead is an example of their childlike behavior. His cockiness sometimes comes off as obnoxious. In this romance, he is clingy, needy and quite controlling. He can't give Jin her space. He always has to run after her even when she is doing things that need not include him. He just shows up. When someone is that clingy and can't be alone, that's never a good indication of a healthy relationship. Jin comes from a controlling mother, right? So, this behavior is not foreign to her. Jin's continuous attempts at connecting with her ex is one of her many poor choices. This movie is annoying, the characters are mostly dislikable. The best scenes are the office scenes which seem to make sense. See more Read all reviews
