While the experiment at the center of Unlocked: A Jail Experiment is intriguing, the producers feel like they’re doing the experiment for the wrong reasons. And that feeling hasn’t changed for Season 2. Go to Full Review

Jandi J @RT89925093 May 19 This show/experiment is powerful; it proves human beings need responsibility, purpose, & connection. Every choice we make affects the rest of our community. Many of these individuals in jail seem disconnected from society, seem to have given up on life & operated in survival mode. Once they begin depending on each other, gaining responsibility and purpose, you start to see growth. They begin valuing one another, wanting to become better people. All humans, particularly men, need to earn good things to truly see value in them. Humans need purpose, structure, education, emotional support, & accountability. This program offered skills many may not have received at home. Whether it was COVID, wars, economic hardship, or rising food and gas prices. What affects one part of society eventually affects everyone. Simply locking people away, to sit idle, fight, & become more broken does not benefit society. Work, responsibility, education, and emotional support matter & create change.
