Whitaker moves at two different speeds, as if the mind were impatient to get on to something worthier of its exertions while the body has been weighed down with the bad news a long past has lumped on it. It is an amazing performance.

At least with Sizemore you can guarantee not an 'A' grade performance, but a 'B' movie one. Plus the scenario was stupid.

There is always a bit of trepidation when going into a movie that is over 20 years old when you've never heard of it until now, but I have been surprised before so i keep doing it. Say what you will about movies from 20 or more years ago, they're mostly coherent and when they aren't it still makes sense. Fact-based or with liberties taken, I really don't care either way, I felt it was a good look at witness protection program services. Interesting.
