The story itself is an engrossing tale of coercive control and car-crash forensics. As a documentary, though, it's fairly formulaic in its approach and lacks the incisive analysis of the best of the genre. Go to Full Review

Ultimately, The Crash is harrowing, gut-wrenching and sombre -- a meticulous examination of a toxic romance that ended in irreversible devastation. Go to Full Review

Ultimately, the documentary works because it knows exactly what image it wants to project of its protagonist: that of a spoiled young woman, obsessed with attention and emotionally dependent on social media. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Yet another true crime curiosity, this film—intentionally or not—offers an indictment of a youth culture obsessed with performing a false lifestyle for social media. Go to Full Review

Robert F @RT42578881 11h Just when you think you have seen the sad depths to where a human being can reach we are introduced to Mackenzie Shirilla. Just the micro snapshot we are exposed to of her life, you get the sense that this young lady is a narcissist and sociopath like few can be. Or her mom and dad’s blind and misguided sense of parenting. In the end we have to watch two young men’s lives cut short because of the internet era of kids obsession with fame and entitlement. It’s an engrossing documentary, but also a maddening one as well with its portrait of how senseless people can be. See more TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch 16h The Crash is a gripping documentary on Netflix that has drawn a lot of attention because of the disturbing real-life case it covers and the way the central figure attempted to control her own narrative. From the beginning, the film is emotionally heavy and immediately pulls focus toward the impact on the victims, especially the two young boys affected by everything that happened. The documentary does a strong job maintaining tension as the story unfolds, blending interviews and case details in a way that keeps you engaged throughout. What makes it even more unsettling is the feeling that the subject of the case may have had some influence over how the story is being presented, almost as if trying to reshape public perception. That adds an uncomfortable layer to the viewing experience Despite that, the documentary still centers the victims’ pain and makes it clear how devastating the events were. It leaves little room for sympathy toward the accused and instead emphasizes accountability See more thecoorslightking .. @thecoorslightking 1d This was a really good movie it's funny because I'm a lot older than the characters are in the movie but yet I knew girls just like to leave characters that's what kind of made this movie believable the only thing is why did they ever straight answer or to the point ass the girl that drove the car into the wall actually what did the boyfriend say between when they made the right turn onto the street and before they hit the wall some telling me in that short span the boyfriend said to the girl that he's done with her and she probably went into an instant blind rage it said something to the tune of if I can't have you nobody will that kind of thing See more Gabriella L. @Crazybre 2d Horribly sad story. Lots of good interviews See more dede W. @RT37612585 2d This was so sad man 💔 rest in peace to dom and Davion See more Kenneth L @RT28484096 3d This is a must watch documentary.
