In this gritty crime drama, Return of The Mack, the legacy of the streets comes full circle. John "Golden" Mickens III, the grandson of the infamous Oakland pimp from the 1970s, is released from prison after serving a decade for a brutal assault. Determined to leave his past behind, Golden returns to a city that has changed, yet remains haunted by old demons. As Golden tries to rebuild his life, he is hit with the shocking news that his estranged daughter, Dana, has become entangled in a sinister human trafficking ring. Overwhelmed by guilt and driven by a fierce paternal instinct, Golden realizes that his past misdeeds have come back to haunt him in the most personal way possible. With the same street smarts and ruthless determination that once made him a feared figure, Golden embarks on a relentless mission to rescue his daughter and dismantle the operation plaguing Detroit. This is one of the WORSE movies I've seen lately by BLACK people. I think there is no reason for this lack of artistic let down by black people. We should be held accountable for this opportunity gone bad! Why would someone allow this? 🤔🤔🤔

I love a Black independent film with a MESSAGE and this one had a very important one! Bringing awareness to sex trafficking, which is happening at an alarming rate within the Black community with so many of our girls going missing, was truly touching to see. This phenomenal cast did an amazing job delivering an entertaining yet touching story. A MUST watch!

ROTM brings much needed awareness to the issue of sex trafficking. The story is engaging from start to finish, and the cinematography adds depth to an already powerful message. A truly impactful and important film.

Good movie with a clear story. I liked the character development more than anything else. Some parts feel a bit stretched, but the acting helps keep it engaging. Not perfect, but still enjoyable.
