When by-the-book FBI Special Agent Bill Goodman (Nick Gehlfuss) is loaned out to a clandestine CIA/FBI task force, he finds himself teamed up with secretive and roguish CIA Agent Colin Glass (Tom Ellis). Together they will work covert operations in New York, uncovering international plots, terrorist cells and geopolitical secrets. On CIA, Bill will learn the rules of this murky world on the fly as Colin leads him deeper into spy games where only one thing is clear – their work keeps America safe, even if no one will ever know what they did in the shadows.

So far, “CIA” works well as an average New York City-set law-enforcement procedural. Perhaps that will be enough. Go to Full Review

This is, after all, television, and “CIA” knows what some of us want, or will settle for, from our spies. Go to Full Review

If you’re not going to make something new, you do at least need to make something quality. And an important part of quality is understanding the audience, moment, and subject matter. 'CIA’ does none of that. Go to Full Review

I definitely will be watching it again. Tom Ellis, sweaters, and that little sparkle he gets in his eye when he knows he nailed the line reading. That’s enough for me. Go to Full Review

Even entering with low expectations, it’s hard not to be incredibly underwhelmed by CIA‘s first hour. Go to Full Review

CIA is some pretty standard procedural stuff, with a case that is a bit confusing, and has a conclusion that is only moderately satisfying. Go to Full Review

Fatemeh H @Fhedayat97 Mar 26 I started watching this mainly because I like Tom E's acting. I do not recommend. This is not quality television. See more R T @Jonathanbing Mar 25 The absurdity begins with a Welsh CIA operative, then the entry of the FBI Yikes! There is nothing in the plot that is factual. "Deep Cover", someone signed out Canadian passports. Please! Sad that Dick Wolf has his name on this absurdity. See more Denise N @RT65515742 Mar 22 So far, I’ve really enjoyed every episode, and I’m already looking forward to the next ones. The cast is brilliant, and I particularly love the chemistry between Colin and Bill. I’m curious to see how their partnership develops and what else we’ll find out about them. Even though the pilot is a bit weaker, I think it’s worth giving the show a chance and continuing to watch. See more Stephanie P. @TattedUp76 Mar 21 I do like this show so far. Even though it is very fictionalized on how most things operate. I imagine that people don't realize that there is some truth, kind of, to how the CIA operates on US soil. They are not law enforcement and are not allowed to do certain things but do work with the FBI and other agencies when on US soil they just don'ttake the lead like in the show. It definitely has my attention and I can't wait to see where this show takes us. See more Martyna D @RT13459376 Mar 20 I love Tom Ellis so I knew I had to give it a try. Episode 1 felt pretty rushed, but at least we got Tom's character Colin meet the FBI guy Bill, and I just knew I will be watching for these two. Ep 2, 3, and 4 were much better than 1. I am getting invested in the characters now and yes, the cases seem to get solved in no time, and aren't super realistic, but I care about Colin and Bill as work partners the most and both actors are great. I want to find out more about Colin's past, what happened to his first partner, who was that kid and woman. I have so many questions, and if they catch some bad guys in between that's fine, but Colin and Bill are the main plot for me, and each episode reveals more about them. I will keep on watching. See more Kyle T @RT52087640 Mar 16 SPOILER: Only 2 episodes in, but this is the type of crap you can expect. CIA super agent detains a Lebanese Military Intelligence officer who claims she wants to defect. Later, as they're bringing her in, they stop in a safe house & she proceeds to talk them in to letting her stitch the FBI agent up & then talks them in to letting her cook them a meal. She was caught killing 2 men for a poison, mind you. So, apparently, she was able to steal a bottle of muscle relaxers while stitching up an agent & slip pills in their water. Mind you, this is DCs finest FBI agent & one of the top clandestine CIA agents, just letting their enemy intelligence officer prisoner out of their sights while she prepares them food they're planning on consuming. Absolutely unrealistic, to the point I'm debating whether or not to finish the series now. This is NOT how even the most basically trained FBI/CIA officer acts. This is making a mockery of our law enforcement. Screw these directors, writers & producers! See more Read all reviews
