The first season of Jessica Jones, from 2015, remains essential viewing, more influenced by feminism and film noir than comic books. She’s a welcome new lens for Daredevil. Go to Full Review

Thematically timely with some ferocious action to boot, Born Again’s second season largely hits the bullseye. Go to Full Review

A bulked-up Cox and a spittin’ mad D’Onofrio make for classic rivals in a series that leans fully into Shakespearean-powered themes about madness and power. Go to Full Review

The legal elements are capably developed and work well, and Season 2 builds toward a stunner of a conclusion. The entire cast turns in exceptional performances, with Cox, D'Onofrio, and Woll giving some of their best yet. Go to Full Review

The show doesn’t inflate itself with bigger set pieces or louder spectacle. It cuts deeper instead. This season is leaner, more controlled, and far more interested in the machinery of power than in empty displays of it. Go to Full Review

Steven L. B @SLuBMan 8h 3 episodes in, and so far this season is insufferable... the not-so-veiled political messaging, the implication that the vigilante task force is a 1 to 1 representation of ICE... It would be so nice to just be able to enjoy a comic book/superhero show without being beaten over the head with the writers' political agenda. Somehow we were able to get multiple seasons of DD, as well as the other Defenders shows, and Punisher on Netflix without any overt political messaging... just good guys beating up bad guys... and those shows were all fantastic. We all understand that Hollywood hates Trump, they hate ICE, and they think it's apparent to everyone else that these are universal truths rather than biased (and ill-informed) opinions... but the reality is that at least half of the country doesn't agree, and we should be able to enjoy apolitical entertainment from time to time, without constantly being accosted by left wing activism. See more R D @RT89852637 8h S2 makes me feel like Dare Devil, I cant see anything especially the fights. Poor lighting , boring fights, too many characters in just a short season and runtime. Doesn't help that S2 is a slow burn. A bit heavy on modern politics without looking at both parties. Just Trump & ICE..im mean King Pin & AVTF bad is the deepest it gets. They also took DD catholic religion out of it which was a big part of his character. A "Karen" being his only moral compass. Overly the idea of S2 is interesting but bad writting and poor production, too many character, short runtime makes this feel much like a water down Disney Daredevil See more Ryan H. @RT74580626 23h In some ways, this season of Born Again is superior to the original. Less episodes helps with the filler dialogue, though, 10 would be cooler. Insofar that Disney's increased production value has allowed DD to fight in ways (think billyclub use) that more fully realize his fighting style in the comics. This will also level up his acrobatics to more seamlessly have him fight alongside Spider-Man in Brand New Day. See more karsen M. @RT57867593 1d This show is a blast so far it's really action packed and it really improves on the first season I love this show can't wait for more I give it a 4/5 stars. See more Dave B @Dave-B 1d Having a hard time, to be honest. Very dark, mostly not-believable or meh dialogue. Only so many punches DD can swing before you start to yawn. In the original show, S3 was my least favorite b/c there wasnt much of a story outside the fighting. Murdock wasnt a lawyer, just an angry in-hiding dude who fought nonstop. This season picks up that beat with Debroah Ann W joining, somehow as a total badass too. She needs a mask. The govt corruption, trampling private rights, and other parallels with the Trump administration are glaring, though not sure if that art imitating life or vice versa. See more Tony G @TonyGman 1d How do you take such a dynamic gritty superhero show and make it boring? Add a whole cast of characters no one cares about and focus more on them than the main character. S1 was ok - not great but I finished it. S2 is dull and I turned it off somewhere in ep 2. I'll probably finish watching this season whenever I have nothing else to do...in small doses. These writers suck. See more Read all reviews
